On Thursday 22nd October we celebrated the official opening of our nursery, Saplings.

We held two events and invited a range of people who have supported the nursery, been instrumental in its opening, who work in it or who attend it!

Councillor Till  attended the first event, cutting the ribbon with the help of the children and declaring us open! Lots of children who attend the nursery as well as their brothers and sisters enjoyed the party too!

The governors as well as local childcare providers attended the second event, Ms Newton and Mrs Wong both spoke briefly and the ribbon was again cut, this time by Leah from year 1, whose Mum works in the nursery.

We had an amazing cake to celebrate the event and it was a lovely chance to thank everyone who has worked so hard to turn our dream of an Elfrida nursery into reality.
