In Reception, children should read with their parents or a family member every night for 10 minutes. Their books are changed by the class teacher or Nursery nurse on Mondays and Thursdays.

 

Wow slips are provided for parents to make comments about their child's learning and what they do at home which the teacher may not be aware of. Any 'wow' or special moments can be jotted down on these wow slips and given to the teacher.

 

Every half term the children receive a home challenge which would need to be done in the holidays and returned when they go back to school.
