Self portraits by year 4. Can you recognise anyone?

Year 6 did an amazing job of drawing Pablo Picasso’s famous painting, ‘The Weeping Woman’.

Year 4 inspired by abstract artist Hilma AF Klimt

After looking closely at Vincent Van Gogh’s painting of sunflowers, Year two created their own using watercolours.

Year 5 used old magazines and photographs to create these collages inspired by Nigerian artist Njideka Akunyili Crosby.

Year 6 used newspaper and charcoal to create these pictures inspired by Pablo Picasso’s famous painting ‘Guernica’.

Year 6 looked at Op art and are still working on these amazing examples.

Year 2 try creating repeating patterns by printing

These stunning gumball machine paintings were created by Year 4 and were inspired by American pop artist Wayne Thiebaud.

Year 5 explored using chalk pastels to create the roughness of the sea.

Year 6 are learning all about WW2. They created these moving silhouette pictures with watercolour sunset backgrounds.

Year 2 continue their unit on abstract art, exploring shape, line and colour.

Year 5's topic is water, so we created these fabulous word paintings inspired by Japanese artist Hokusai's 'The Great Wave'.

Year 3’s focus artist is Andy Goldsworthy. The children used charcoal to draw some of his sculptures in their sketchbooks.

In year 4 we’ve been looking at artist Wayne Thiebaud. The children used oil pastels to recreate his painting ‘Six Lollypops’.

In Year 2 we’ve been learning about abstract art. After looking closely at Paul Klee’s paintings , the children were inspired to do their own abstract art, using poster paints in warm colours.
