What Went Well This Week?

At the end of every week, the children will have a chance to jot down a couple of things that they

felt went well with their learning.

It is so lovely to find out what they can remember !

Spellings for Term 2

Year 5 have been reading the fantastic book by Louis Sachar - There's a boy in the girls' bathroom".

They have been using this text to write diary entries, letters of advice and even turned some of the pages into a play script. Here you can see then children acting out their parts during English.

Reading In Beech Class 1

Shared Reading By Selected Pupils As Part Of Diversity Week

During Diversity Week, we studied  people over time who have had to deal with issues related to race, disability and discrimination.

We read stories of how these athletes, thinkers and artists worked through their dilemmas in their lives in the past and present in  a book called "I am not a label"  by Cerrie Burnell.  (You may remember her - she was one of the presenters on CBBCs in the 1990s who was born with a right arm that ends just below the elbow).

Working In Beech Class

During the school summer break, some of the children made some extremely creative designs to do with out topic "Water".

They came up with some very genius and original ideas.

Well done!!!
