Spring Term 2

This half term we are doing some of our learning around the topic of Lifecycles. We will be thinking about how we grow up from a baby to a older person, looking at a lifecyle of a caterpillar to a butterfly and a lifecyle of a frog. We will be observing changes that happen and talking about them and we will also begin to starting planting beans and helping them to grow.

Look on the website for the new phonics videos every week along with pictures of what the children have been doing in Nursery and the stories we will be focusing on in carpet time.

If you would like to support your child at home with their learning please do share stories together, practice writing their name / letters from their name and counting to 10.

Please do try to send in a photo of your child as a baby. A Nursery adult will photocopy it and send it back to you. This is so we can make a display of photos of the children as a baby and then now and look at how we have changed as we have grown up!

These are some of the stories we have been listening to this week.

As we are starting our work on weather, here are some weather activities you can do at home

You can also begin a weather diary. You can look out of the window every day and then make a record of what the weather is like. Try to do it for a whole week and try to draw a picture of the weather for that day. An adult can help you. If you would like to do it in a book, there is a link below which you can use to help you. Bring it into Nursery to show us all when you have done it!

Here are some activities that you can do at home all linked to Winter.

We are thinking about Colours this week. We have been listening to these songs and stories!

We have been thinking about Remembrance Day and watched these videos to help us learn.
