Reception
At Elfrida Primary School, our Reception children engage in a practical, play-based curriculum designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning. Our dedicated staff provide rich opportunities and environments that encourage exploration, closely observing and listening to each child, following their lead, and nurturing their interests. By using open-ended questions, we stimulate deeper thinking, while continually praising and reinforcing positive learning experiences.
In all aspects of learning, we ensure that our core school values are embedded into the curriculum. These values—respect, responsibility, resilience, confidence, collaboration, and community—are emphasised daily, inspiring our pupils to grow into well-rounded individuals. We also place equal importance on outdoor learning as we do indoor, and your child will have access to outdoor activities every day, enriching their learning experience
