Last night - Wednesday 19th December - the King Alfred Federation choir performed to a packed St Dunstan's church.  They performed alongside Lewisham schools brass band and concert band and were truly amazing.

The children sang three songs by themselves and then led the congregation, supported by the concert band, in renditions of Good King Wenceslas, Deck the Halls and We wish you a Merry Christmas.

The Mayor of Lewisham spoke to Ms Newton after the event to say that "The children were amazing!".  (To which Ms Newton replied "I know!")

 The choir are to be renamed The Bellingham Children's choir and are planning to perform at Catford Broadway next term and hopefully The Royal Festival Hall at some time in the future.  If you would like to join, look out for the clubs letter coming out at the start of next term.  Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 3.30-4.30 in the community centre.
