Sycamore, Year 2
Welcome To Spring!
Henri Matisse! For Art week this Spring, the children created some incredible pieces of art and writing inspired by the talented Artist Henri Matisse. Here is the amazing display they produced to celebrate his work.
Towns V Forests Trip!
To celebrate the brilliant work that the children did on Towns V Forests, we went on a trip to the local forest called Wild Cats!
The children had an amazing time whilst they explored the terrain in the forest, and were able to compared it to the lives in the town.
Here are even more examples of the fun they had...
Watch Out! Be safe if Carbon monoxide is About! The children had a visitor come in to talk about staying safe at home from an invisible form which is carbon monoxide gas. They learnt that open air cooking and flames can give off this gas and how a detector in the home is important!
The Great Fire of London yr2. The children in year two have been looking at the Great Fire of London and created Stewart houses for the classroom display. They learned how the houses were made of wood and how the Great Fire started in a bakery shop in Pudding Lane in London in 1666.
