  • Elfrida Goes Green Award!

    Wed 07 Jun 2023

    Congratulations to us!

We were selected as a Highly Commended entrant in the Primary Awards for Green Education in Schools 2023 with our project ‘Elfrida goes Green’.

    What was said:

Almost 40,000 young people were involved in the creation of entries for this year’s competition.  It was fantastic to see the diverse approaches that schools in the UK are taking to delivering environmental education to their children.  The young people’s passion and commitment really shone through!  With almost 300 entries received, it was a very difficult decision to select our award winners, so you and all of the children involved should be very proud of this achievement.

This was a wonderful project where a new recycling system was introduced, Eco Warriors participated in daily litter picks and children learned how to reuse materials when recreating objects such as bird feeders as well as using recyclable materials for arts and crafts or model making. You included so much evidence with your entry and it was clear to see from the work and photographs that the children learned a great deal from this project. Well done to the Eco Warriors for developing their own Eco Code and well done to everyone involved in such a great project - please keep up the excellent work you are doing!

Thank you Ms Holland for all of your hard work on this project!
