LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT 

 

The Role

We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants for our Federation, working in classes across the school.  The hours are between 3- 6 hours daily, term-time only and are specific to the individual pupil’s EHCP plan.

What we are looking for

We are looking to appoint highly committed, passionate and diligent individuals to join our learning community as soon as possible.  This will be a Federation contract and successful candidates may be asked to work in either school. 

This post commences ASAP and will terminate either when the child leaves the school or if the EHCP plan is terminated.

Salary details

Salary: £20217 – £20985 (APT&C Scale 3, Pt 15-17) pro rata, term time only

MMi MIDDAY MEALS SUPERVISOR

 

The role

 

The King Alfred Federation is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Midday Meal Supervisor who demonstrates a passion

for working with children, leading play and games at lunchtimes, are flexible and team players.

 

What we are looking for

 

The vacancy is for 12.00 – 1.30pm term time only. The position will start as soon as possible.

 

The applicant will need to be patient and understanding, but calm and firm when dealing with problems with children’s behaviour.

 

Your duties will include the supervision of children in the dining hall and in the playground during the lunch break.

You will be expected to play games with the children, to encourage them to play together, help them develop good social skills and to assist them in making healthy meal choices. You will be working under the direction of a senior meals supervisor.

 

You may be required to work at either Athelney Primary School or Elfrida Primary School within the King Alfred Federation.

 

Applicants who believe they have the suitable experience and skills for this post are welcome to apply.

 

First Aid qualification is preferred but not essential.

 

Salary details and further information

 

Hours:  7.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, Term Time Only)

Salary:  Scale 2, from £18,978 - £19,638 per annum, pro-rata

Repair and Maintenance Officer 

 

The Federation is looking to recruit a committed and reliable Repair and Maintenance Officer to ensure the efficient and effective operation off the Federation’s premises. The successful candidate will work closely with the Facilities Manager in the daily management of all aspects of the schools.

The successful candidate will

  • Be self-motivated, flexible and act on own intuitive
  • Be able to work flexibly and respond to emergences
  • Have an organised approach to prioritise work and successfully manage time
  • Have excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
  • Be an effective team member
  • Be suitably qualified and have relevant experience

Hours: 35 Hours

 

Reports to the Facilities Manager and ultimately, to the Federation School Business Manager

 

Main Purpose

To provide outstanding repair and maintenance capabilities to the King Alfred Estate that ensure that on a day-to-day basis, the allocated areas of responsibility are clean, tidy, functional, in good repair, accessible and enables for all users, an estate which is Health and Safety compliant at all times.

 

Conditions of service

This is an all year round, post for 35 hours per week. The core hours to be worked will be between 07.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday (on a locally arranged rota basis). On occasion, there will be the necessity to work out-of-hours at evenings and/or weekends as the demands of the need it. Overtime will not be applicable in these cases, but suitable time-off-in-lieu will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
