Eucalyptus - Year 1

Goodbye and Thank you!

Dear Eucalyptus Class,

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of you both grown-ups and children. You have made my first year at Elfrida so much fun. You are such a welcoming community and I feel so supported. Thank you!

I am so sad that I missed your last week as Year 1 pupils. We had so many fun things planned together. I was thinking about the children who celebrated their birthday this week, as I celebrated mine yesterday.

It has been such a pleasure to teach every single one of you and I am so proud of all the progress you have made.

Have a lovely summer!

All the best,

Ms George.

Phonics Bitesize

In Year One, phonics is an important part of our daily learning. We regularly use 'BBC Bitesize' clips to support the phonics teaching. Have a look and let us know what you think!

Anti-Bullying week 2020

During Anti-Bullying week, we spent a lot of time talking to each other about that we understood by the term 'bullying'. We spoke about what we should do if we are being bullied and what to do if they think someone else is being bullied.
We talked about our feeling and how to respect each other. The children really enjoyed the 'Topsy and Tim Help a Friend' story. It helped to understand feelings around the topic.
