This term's curriculum letter

Hello to all our Parents and Carers.

Well, another term is nearly over and Beech Class have been doing some fantastic learning.

With Bow Arts teacher, Laurie, they made some great art using lots of different medium.

Thank you for all the great homework, they made our class walls look very interesting and colourful!

This half term, Mr Black has been teaching coding to Beech. They designed their own Minotaur games - this tied in nicely with our Ancient Greece topic.

If you follow this link, you can play some of the wonderful Scratch games they coded.

Happy New Year to you all.

This term we will be learning about Ancient Greece - reading all about the gods and goddesses on Mount Olympus, reading Greek  myths and producing brochures to advertise the country in the form of chronological reports!

The children will even have a go at creating their own myths.

Beech class visited The Pizza Express last week in Beckenham.

We had such a fun time; learning all about the ingredients and the herbs we were using in our pizzas.

The children behaved impeccably, both in the restaurant and travelling there and back.

Here are some pictures of how they made their yummy pizza designs.

We are nearly at the end of Autumn 2. The end of the term is approaching - Where has this year gone? Please remember that Friday is an inset day so any homework needs to be in on 24th November.

Thank you to those children who have already brought in their homework.

Please remind them to bring along any work they have completed at home. We have some real budding artists and reporters in our class and the children's independent work is a delight to see. We have it on display in class.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me on our class website: beech@kafed.org.uk

Thank you for your continued support.

Please encourage your child to bring a book home from school every week.

Beech Class have the opportunity to take two books from our class library - one to keep in school and one to take home.

There is a wide range of books for them to choose from!
