  • Arethusa Final Day

    Fri 18 Jan 2019

This morning began in earnest with packing!  Finding all those socks and towels that seem to have mysteriously ended up under the beds!

After breakfast the children are taking part in a string trail and are then braving the high ropes challenge!

They will be ready to come home straight after their lunch and are looking forward to being home with their families tonight!

We expect them to arrive back at school at 2.30pm in time for the normal end of the school day.

A huge thank you to Mr McNulty, Mr Ankrah and Mrs Darnell for giving up their time to go with the children and ensure they had such a great time.  I am sure that everyone will sleep well this weekend!!

  • Home journey

    Fri 18 Jan 2019

The Year four children who have stayed at school are taking part in a special set of activities we have called 'Home Journey'.

Today they went to see The Incredibles 2, where they had a whole cinema to themselves and then in the afternoon they became property moguls as they challenged each other to games of Monopoly!

On Thursday the children worked with Mudrock to make sculptures of their hands and on Friday there were computing and cooking activities.

What a great time they had and what great experiences all the year 4's can share when they are back together on Monday!

Thanks to the school staff - Ms Fitch, Ms, Green, Ms Reid, Mr Walker, Ms Collins and Mr Woods for organising such a great week of activities for the children who stayed at school.

  • Arethusa Day 2

    Thu 17 Jan 2019

After a good night's sleep (for most of the children!) they are now ready to take on the new activities of the day.

So far they have done kayaking and archery and are looking forward to some orienteering later this afternoon.

Hopefully they will all stay awake for the disco this evening.  (and the adults as well!)

  • Arethusa day 1

    Wed 16 Jan 2019

Everyone has arrived safely and the hard work of making the beds has been completed!

All tears have dried up and the children are excited to be heading out to the woods after lunch!

An afternoon of Bushcrafts followed a challenging woodland walk.
