  • NED assembly (and yo-yos!)

    Thu 21 Jun 2018

On Wednesday 20th June we had a visit from Ned and Nate all the way from California.  They came to talk to us about using our growth mindsets.  Ned's name stands for Never give up, Encourage others, Do your best.

The assemblies were really good and the children were spellbound.  The story of NED and his journey was a great way to explore the ideas of using a growth mindset with the children which has built on a lot of the work we have been doing in school.  The use of the yo-yos and some magical illusions were a great way of captivating the 250 children in the hall!  Ask your child about Yet the yeti, Captain Kindness and the brain aliens!

Yo-yos are available in the school office should you wish to purchase them.  There is no obligation to do so and the school receives no money from their sales.

  • Football Triumph!

    Wed 20 Jun 2018

Lewisham district team won the London cup final on Saturday 16th June, beating Islington 7-1 in the process. They played some outstanding football and Callum from Year 6 and Rashaard from Athelney played starring roles. Callum set up 3 of the Lewisham goals and Rashaard got on the scoresheet adding the 5th goal in an excellent performance. They should be very proud of themselves and will also be representing Lewisham again in the Greater London cup final on June 23rd.

    Good luck boys!
