Second Hand Uniform Sale

The Eco Warriors and Prefect Team have been organising a second hand uniform sale to reuse and recycle clothing. 

The Big Battery Hunt

The children have been collecting used batteries to recycle. We participated in The Big Battery Hunt and collected 3306 batteries in total. Well done to everyone who participated. 

Nursery- Bird Feeders

Nursery have been creating bird feeders using recycled materials. Take a look at their creations below.

Year 4 & 5- Reduce, Recycle and Reuse

Year 4 and 5 have been working hard to create posters about reducing, reusing and recycling. Some children created posters in different languages and some were created to explain what bins to use for different recyclable materials. 

Year 3 - Local Recycling and Waste

Year 3 have been researching how to recycle in the local area of Lewisham. The children conducted research based on different methods when recycling a range of different materials and then used this information to create an informative poster. Take a look at some of the beautiful creations below. 

Year 5 - Water Water 

NHS Competition

Year 5 entered the London Competition to encourage young people to drink water and different techniques to save water. Take a look at some of the examples below or look at our Eco Award home page for our winners. 
Well done to everyone who entered- we had nearly 400 entries. 

Year 1 - Sculptures

Year 1 have been using recyclable materials to build sculptures. Year 1 collected recyclable materials from school and asked the children to bring in materials from home. The children then used the materials to sort the materials into different sections.

NHS Water Competition

As part of our Litter and Waste topics for our Eco Award, all children across the school created posters to reduce water waste. All children worked hard to create wonderful posters and we entered nearly 400 entries. Well done everyone at Elfrida!
