Reception Fidget Spinner day Friday 23^rd June 2017

Due to a change in Literacy curriculum we won’t be learning about farm animals as planned next week and as we like to plan to the children’s interests the Children have requested to have a Fidget spinner day instead of Moo day on Friday 23^rd June. (no dressing up needed)

If your child already has a Fidget spinner they will be allowed to bring it in only on Friday 23^rd June to use in class. We have planned a day of writing about, designing and using fidget spinners as a timer to complete a range of activities. We will also be making our own fidget spinners so please do not buy your child a fidget spinner unless they already have one.

 

Please could you ensure your child’s fidget spinner is labelled with the sticker provided with this letter and in a labelled sandwich bag to keep it safe. Please do not send your child in with a very expensive one as it may get lost or broken.

 

 

Quick Reminder

 The weather is getting warmer please ensure your child is sent into school already wearing a high factor, long- lasting sun cream and they have a hat with a brim. Please can you also send your child into school with their own labelled bottle of water (no squash or fizzy drinks) if you think they are not likely to want to use the class water cups.

 

Donations

 

Due to government cuts in Education funding we are getting low on many items. Throughout the course of the year toys and books get broken and we no longer have the money to replace all of these items. We are asking parents for second hand donations of books, toys, uniform, or arts and crafts materials such as paper and card as our class stocks are becoming increasingly low. Please donate anything you think maybe useful to support your child’s education.
