  • Christmas Dinner Day!

    Tue 17 Dec 2019

Feeding the 5000?  It felt like almost that today! What a wonderful time we had at our Christmas dinner today.  There were Santa's in the kitchen and elves in the hall all helping to serve children a delicious meal.  Crackers went off with a bang, tunes were sung and the food disappeared!

A big thank you to the staff in our kitchen staff  who worked from very early this morning to lay on such a spread and to all of the staff who worked through their lunchtimes to ensure the children had a great time.

  • Elf Day

    Fri 13 Dec 2019

We love Elf day here at Elfrida!

What a day!  The children move around the school visiting new (and previous) teachers and completing a variety of activities.

There are coding challenges, candy cane mice, reindeer balloon races, calendar making, sketchbook creations, snowflakes, snowman scarves as well as a whole host of other activities.

What a busy workshop of elves we had today!

  • Nativity 2019

    Thu 12 Dec 2019

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a Nativity would it?

Reception and Year 1 did not disappoint this year!  What a wonderful performance, full of songs about kings and donkeys and a wonderful uplifting final song.

Thank you to all of the children who have worked so hard to learn their lines and song words, the parents and carers for helping with costumes and for coming to watch, and to all of the adults working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this the success it was.

    Seasons greetings to you all.

  • Year 4/5 Festival of Lights

    Wed 11 Dec 2019

On Wednesday 11th December we were treated to a wonderful performance by Years 4 and 5 entitled Festival of Lights. What a lot we learnt,  not only facts about Christmas and Christianity but facts about Hannukah and Diwali as well.  The voices were loud and clear and the singing was beautiful.  A real treat.  Thank you to all of the children for your hard work, the parents and carers for coming to support and providing costumes and all of the adults at school who worked so hard to put this together.

  • Bellingham Children's choir perform

    Wed 11 Dec 2019

On Tuesday 10th December our Bellingham Children's choir went to Hazelhurst court to perform some Christmas songs to the residents there.

Everyone was really impressed with their voices and the old and young enjoyed talking to each other after the performance over bags of crisps!

  • Winter Fair

    Sat 07 Dec 2019

On Friday 6th December we held our annual Winter Fair.  The PTFA worked really hard to put on a great event.  There were games, cakes, books, raffles and crafts to name but a few things.  Of course we invited Father Christmas who met many children and shared gifts and sweets with them all.

Congratulations to Phoebe in Palm class who won the i-pad in the raffle and Chelsea in Mahogany class who won the giant festive hamper.

A big thank you to the army of parents and carers who helped to get this event organised and to the parents, carers and children who came in to support the school.
